Sowing the Prairie Garden Bed
the right plants & management for best results
Sometimes the budget or scale requires seeding. You may have several thousand square feet or a few acres -- seeding would be ideal based on this scale. Or you may have established beds with plants you'd like to keep, but you need to build the layers and are on a tight budget -- seeding could be a good option here, too.
In this course learn how to choose the right species for your site, create a climate-resilient and weed-suppressing species list, calculate the seed mix, then prep, install, and manage the landscape for best results. We'll cover the nitty gritty on seeding including mixing and broadcasting, as well as best strategies for managing weeds before and after sowing.
You're guaranteed to come away with profound new knowledge on the specifics of sowing native plants for various goals and gardens.
